AssisTime is the result of several years of reflection on the needs of local entrepreneurs. The story of AssisTime is, in a way, the story of its founder, Simon Lacasse. Here's how he tells it.
As an engineer by training, I have always wanted to make my services accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that needed a full-time engineer but couldn't afford one. That's when I created Concepsim, a company that would allow me to reach various SMEs by offering them personalized advisory services.
Entering the business world quickly led me to handle my own accounting. Being naturally thorough, I wanted to work with user-friendly software where I could track the financial progress of my business. An accountant advised me to use Excel and provided me with an accounting file. Although I was experienced with the software, I struggled to reflect in the file the constant changes my business was going through. I needed to find an alternative.
I turned to one of the most popular accounting software solutions on the market. Although comfortable with software and technology, I still couldn't set up my accounting according to my needs. Worse, I later learned that several hours of training were required to use it properly! My reality as an entrepreneur didn't allow me to dedicate all that time to learning the software.
A realization suddenly hit me: there was nothing on the market that met my accounting software needs! I decided to develop my own business management software that would include accounting. And who knows? Maybe it could also be useful to other entrepreneurs like me?
I quickly realized that the software I wanted to create for my own business could be useful to other entrepreneurs as well. This is when the development of the business management and accounting software, AssisTime, began.
Ideas quickly started to pile up: how could I create software that adapts to the varying needs of businesses? I realized that the foundation of this software had to be an efficient database gathering the company's contacts. It should be able to store all the necessary information on clients, prospects and suppliers. I then added to AssisTime other software modules that integrate with the core, such as accounting, a calendar and other micro-software tailored to the specific needs of its users.
After several iterations, I am very proud today to see how many local entrepreneurs rely on AssisTime for their daily operations. Whether it's for managing business contacts (CRM), the calendar, online appointments or accounting, AssisTime users now have access to adaptable and versatile software at a more than affordable price!
